Irina Gaber . . .

Thirty-seven warships of the British Royal Navy and 21 cruisers of the German Kaiserliche Marine fought for two days in the greatest naval battle of the First World War. 6800 British sailors and 3000 German sailors lost their lives in the cold Danish waters. The Royal Navy was humiliated. However, the German fleet had to abandon its ambition to completely blockade the North Sea.
